Poshanu Resort
A small beachfront boutique resort of 24 bungalows built in the style of a Cham village, the culture behind the ancient Po Sah Inu towers on the hill nearby. It sits on a rocky stretch of beach between Phan Thiết town and Mũi Né. We've booked a room for every guest, so all you need to do is show up.

Enjoy the resort
A large pool (1.2–1.8 m deep) and a shallow 0.5 m pool for the non-swimmers. No judgement.
The resort sits right on the beach. It's a public beach, not a private one, so feel free to use the stretch in front of the two neighbouring resorts if you prefer. December brings big waves and strong wind, so take care when swimming.
The resort's seafront restaurant, with sunset views.
The Po Sah Inu Cham towers, built over 1,000 years ago, are on the hill a short walk from the resort. Billiards by the pool, 10:00–22:00.
Mũi Né jeep tour
Sleep off the party, then hop into an open jeep with an English-speaking guide and chase the sunset across the dunes. Sand in your hair is part of the experience. The tour is paid by each guest: 600,000 VND (about US$23) per jeep, shared by 3–4 people. Anything extra on the day, like quad bikes on the dunes, is paid separately.
Mũi Né fishing village
Hundreds of boats and round basket boats bobbing in the bay. Best seen from the hill above, and best photographed by the friend with the good phone.
Fairy Stream (Suối Tiên)
Walk barefoot up a shallow stream between red and white sand cliffs. Ankle-deep water, zero effort, maximum photos.
White sand dunes (Bàu Trắng)
Huge white dunes beside a lotus lake. Feeling brave? Ride a quad bike up the dunes for an extra fee.
Red sand dunes
Orange-red dunes close to town. Slide down on a plastic sled like a big kid, then watch the sun set at about 17:30.
Pickup at the resort lobby at 14:30, back around 18:30.
Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, sandals you can get wet, and a light scarf for the wind and sand. Some cash for sleds and drinks.
Before you go
The boring-but-useful bit. Good news first: December is dry season, so expect sunshine, very little rain, and a breeze that will mess up your hair.
Pack: light clothes, swimwear, a light layer for the evening breeze, sunscreen, and shoes you can dance in all night.
Suits and dresses
Dress to impress: suits for the guys, dresses for the girls. But there will be a LOT of dancing, so pick something you can actually move in.
Visa and e-arrival card
Please check the visa requirements for your country. You also need to fill in an e-arrival card for Vietnam, so do it before your flight, not in the immigration queue.
A few places we like
Just suggestions for when you get hungry and adventurous.
Grab works here too
Grab is available in Phan Thiết and Mũi Né, so you can easily book a car or motorbike to go sightseeing, find a spa, or head out for a meal. Xanh SM taxis (the green electric ones) are another option.
From Tân Sơn Nhất airport (SGN)
- Grab or Xanh SM to District 1 takes about 30–45 minutes. Book at the official pickup area outside arrivals.
- Politely ignore drivers who approach you inside the terminal. Your Grab is waiting outside.
- Buy a local SIM at the airport (Viettel, Vinaphone, Mobifone), or get an eSIM before you fly, for example through Agoda. No data, no Grab, no group chat drama.
- ATMs and exchange counters are in the arrivals hall.
Small things that help
- Keep your phone on the inside when walking near traffic.
- To cross the street, walk slowly and steadily, like a calm duck. The motorbikes will flow around you. Do not run.
- Power plugs: type A and C, 220V.
